Itea (Delphi), Greece
Visiting Delphi reminds us of Machu Pichu in Peru. In old time Delphi was one of the world's most important religious centers. It occupies an impressive site on the slope of Mount Parnassus and attracted pilgrims who came to consult the celebrated oracle Pythia. Her ambiguous prophecies were known and respected all over the ancient classical world.
We also enjoyed the Archaeological Museum of Delphi with beautiful ancient objects arranged chronologically in 14 rooms. The exhibition starts with the last phase of the Bronze Age to the 4th century AD.
