Helsinki, Finland

Helsinki, Finland
The Scandinavian city Helsinki is vibrant and beautiful.
The Rock Church was very interesting, a one-of-a-kind Lutheran church built into a solid rock.
The Sibelius Park and the abstract monument dedicated to the famed Finnish composer Jean Sibelius was unique and meant to reflect the rugged natural beauty of Finland.
We also enjoyed visiting Porvoo, the oldest town in Finland with its charming streets and red shore houses.
There is a church in this rock...

The Rock Church entrance

Natural light pours in from the glazed dome and the rough stoned interiors amplify sound, making it a unique concert venue

The glazed dome

The famed Finnish composer Jean Sibelius widely recognized as his country's greatest composer and, through his music, is often credited with having helped Finland to develop a national identity during its struggle for independence from Russia.

There is also a Vietnamese shop here...

The eggrolls are pretty expensive
